As many of you know, I work full time and make soap as a hobby and as a side business to help make ends meet. I have many other time-consuming hobbies like gardening, writing, cooking, reading, bird-watching, crafting, eating Gummy Bears, Googling, and loafing.
As you can probably tell, I am brand new at having my own web site. I began by selling my soap through referrals and through my Facebook business page, but it soon became clear that I needed a business web site. If the text is too big or too small on this site, or if pictures do not display properly, or if my links accidentally take you to an auto parts store, I apologize.
I cannot afford to hire a real web site designer so I have been working on this Do-It-Yourself site in my spare time. And the only spare time I seem to have these days is a 10 minute window between 2:30 a.m. and 2:40 a.m. every night. Unfortunately that window usually finds me sleeping soundly, grinding my teeth and snoring lightly. Okay, not so lightly.
Lucky for me, I have some super-cute artwork on here that was done by Ana Taira of Urbane Collective, so at least I have that going for me. She created my logo as well as all the mermaid pictures on this site. She didn’t even laugh when I told her I was naming my Enchanted Bath mermaid, ‘Isabelle’. I wish I could draw like she does. I’m so impressed with people who have that talent. If you need help with a logo of your own, I highly recommend Ana.
Anyway . . . even though this web site remains imperfect and unfinished, you may still shop for soap here. Just bear with me until I can get the hang of things. In the meantime, I will probably continue to post uncentered, unprofessional, blurry pictures of my soap products for your shopping pleasure. I do promise you that I am a better soapmaker than web designer.
